Key strategies for getting ready to launch new projects, initiatives and improvements
Ever struggled to carry out a project or new initiative? Ever found is hard to sustain changes and school improvement initiatives? Then join us in this session where we will help you to ‘get ready’ to lead changes that stick.
Effective implementation of initiatives doesn’t just happen. It requires thoughtful planning, the right behaviours, and strong systems behind it. Drawing on the EEF’s updated guidance A School’s Guide to Implementation, this session will explore what really makes change work in schools — and how you, as a subject leader, can make it happen in your context.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Feel more confident and prepared to lead changes, projects and improvements.
- Have a clear understanding of the three behaviours that drive successful implementation.
- Know how to ensure your plans are evidence-informed, relevant, and realistic.
- Build systems and structures that make change sustainable.
- Identify and empower the people who enable change in your setting.
Who is it for:
This session is ideal for subject leaders, as well as phase and senior leaders who are leading change — whether that’s in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, or school improvement projects. It’s especially useful for those who haven’t recently explored implementation theory and want a fresh, practical approach.
