High expectations for attendance, behaviour and attitudes to learning are central to Ofsted’s evaluation of a school. Leaders must be able to demonstrate how their culture, systems and support enable all pupils to feel safe, valued and motivated to attend and learn.
In this focused one‑hour session, part of our Unpacking the School Inspection Toolkit series, we will explore what Ofsted expects within the attendance and behaviour evaluation area and how leaders can evidence strong, inclusive practice.
You’ll gain clarity on how inspectors evaluate attendance priorities, behaviour culture, pupil attitudes to learning and the effectiveness of support for pupils with additional needs, including those accessing alternative provision.

- Practical ways to use the information to refine and update the attendance and behaviour section of your SEF.
