
This event will help you to understand the DfE’s Writing Framework to ensure the curriculum and its delivery are effective.
The DfE published the writing framework in July to ‘outline a common approach to teaching writing based on evidence and existing good practice.’
In the first event we focused on the simple view of writing, the development of spoken language and transcription.
During part 2 event, we will explore:
- the compostion elements, including why grammar should be taught in context
- a structure for the writing process
- the use of assessment
- how to support pupils who have fallen behind
- effective leadership and management of writing
Throughout the session we will share ways that schools can ensure their curriculum and practices of the teaching of writing are effective.
