Understanding the primary Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR) is essential for subject leaders who want to interpret their school’s English and maths data with confidence.
In this practical, interactive session, Faye will guide English and maths subject leaders through the key elements of the IDSR and explain what Ofsted expects leaders to know and understand.
You’ll explore how to interpret the subject‑specific data, what to pay attention to, and how to use the information to support your leadership of English or maths.
What we’ll cover
- What the data means in a primary IDSR.
- What English and maths subject leaders should be aware of when reviewing their school’s data.
- How to interpret the English and maths sections of the IDSR and understand key messages.
We recommend bringing your school’s latest IDSR so you can review it during the session. You’ll need to request this from your headteacher, and it’s best used in the online (HTML) format – the printed version is unwieldy and harder to navigate.
As an interactive session, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore the data in depth.
Who is this event for?
This session is aimed at English and maths subject leaders, though other leaders may also find it useful.
